Banff

Yesterday we drove to Banff. It's in the middle of the Rocky mountains. Eventhough the trip down here was amazing we kinda fell in love with this place. That made us decide to stay a bit longer before we head off again. Yesterday we wanted to do a hike in glazier national park but unfortunately the trail was closed because of the snow. We have spotted our first bear in the wild though. A mother black bear with 2 cubs. From a far distance we watched them a bit but took a D-tour back to the car as passing them would be to dangerous. The weather cleared up real nice and after another hike we passed Lake Louis on our way to Banff. We had a nice night in the hostels bar with Karaoke and met some new people. Today we went to the cave and hot spring basin and enjoyed the sun for the rest of the day. Our German friend, who we met in Kelowna, has joined us and she will be for the next couple of days. It took a bit to adjust to the Hostel life again but I'm already looking forward to live this life for the next year to come.
